Picking - Packing - Manifest submission

Outbound Workflow:

PickingPackingManifest Submission

This workflow ensures that outbound consignments are processed efficiently, from picking to packing, and finalized with a manifest submission.


Picking

This will work with task with status "Waiting". To begin the picking process for items assigned to a task.

  1. Open the Picking Task Detail page.

  2. Click Start Picking.

  1. A confirmation modal will appear.

Once started, a picking task cannot be cancelled.

  1. Click Accept to confirm.

  2. The status will update to Picking.


Finish Packing

To complete the picking process and move the task forward for packing.

  1. Open the Picking Task Detail page.

  2. Click Finish Picking.

  1. The status will update to Packing.


Pack

To record packaging details for outbound consignments, ensuring correct SKU allocation, dimensions, and packing materials before marking consignments as ready for shipment.

  1. Open the Picking Task Detail page.

  2. Scroll to the Consignments to Pack section.

  3. In the consignment row you want, click Select to Pack.

  4. You will be redirected to the OC Packing Form.

  5. Enter package information:

  • SKU list → add SKUs and press Save on each row to confirm.

  • Dimensions → weight, length, width, height.

  • Packing Material → choose from available materials

  1. Click Add Package if multiple packages are needed.

  2. Click Mark as Packed without scanning.

  3. Submit → Status changes to Packed.

Note: Ensure all items fit inside the selected packing material (instances must be smaller than the wrapper).

Submit manifest

To finalize consignments by submitting a manifest, which confirms that all packages are ready for dispatch.

  1. Open the Picking Task Detail page.

  2. Click Submit Manifest (bottom-right corner).

  3. Confirm the action.

  4. The status will update to Complete.


Report exception

To record issues encountered during packing that prevent successful completion. You can do this action anytime in the Outbound Workflow:

  1. Open the Picking Task Detail page.

  2. Scroll to the Consignments to Pack section.

  3. In the consignment row you want, click Report exception

  4. A new modal show up

  5. Input reasons for exception

  6. Click Submit

The selected OC reloads and its status will change to exception. If it is the only OC in this task, then the task is completed

Press cancel will discard all changes and close the modal
